THE BOUNTY SYSTEM.
⤷ ::PIRATE BOUNTIES::
All character bounties on the site are based on In-Character activity alone. Once a thread or mission is completed, it can be submitted HERE by filling out the submission code and posting it, where it will then be reviewed by one of the admins. A total will then be decided and added to your character's current bounty total to form your new bounty. How much you can earn from a mission or thread will be based on two factors. The first is a lettered rank, which is assigned to a mission based on the difficulty and danger surrounded the mission task. The second will also be based on the skills of those involved and the general flow of the threads development. The general price ranges for the missions are listed below:
◊ Rank E Mission: ß10,000 beli - ß100,000 beli
◊ Rank D Mission: ß100,000 beli - ß200,000 beli
◊ Rank C Mission: ß200,000 beli - ß350,000 beli
◊ Rank B Mission: ß350,000 beli - ß450,000 beli
◊ Rank A Mission: ß450,000 beli - ß600,000 beli
⤷ ::COLLECTING BOUNTIES::
Be forewarned that once you have acquired a bounty, you may become the target of various Bounty Hunters and the Marines. This means that your bounty can be collected In-Character, in the event that you are captured or defeated. For those responsible for apprehending or capturing a pirate, they will earn the full amount of said pirate's bounty to their collected count, the Marine and Bounty Hunter version of the bounties. Similarly, while these totals cannot be collected, they will serve as an indicator and mark of reputation that will likely be known to others. In this sense, the higher the number of bounties collected the better or more feared reputation a Bounty Hunter or Marine can acquire.
⤷ ::GETTING CAPTURED::
When your character is apprehended or defeated by a Marine or Bounty Hunter, a pirate will have their bounty temporarily frozen and they will be sent to Impel Down Prison. Once this happens, while you are allowed to continue and complete any threads that you started previously, you will not be able to start any new threads until you've managed to escape. These escapes will take on a form similar to the missions and will be played out in-character with one of the admins. You will be responsible for devising a way out and if you succeed, your bounty may increase based on the methods and ingenuity of the escape. After that, you’ll be able to go back to roleplaying as usual.
⤷ ::MISSION TYPES:: There are five different mission types on the site, indicated by a particular letter. Each one has it's own level of potential risks, and draw backs. Below are some details and crimes that may appear in a potential mission.
◊ [Rank E]: These missions tend to be the most common and offer the least amount of danger for a character. They can range from crimes including basic theft of a prized object or ancient artifact to treasures hunts that can pit a character against beasts and booby traps. This rank can also include attacking any civilian vessel, whether merchant or luxury, as these ships tend to be lightly armed and ideal targets for pirates. Others may include defeating another pirate with a bounty of less than ß50,000 beli or a Marine with the rank of Captain or lower.
◊ [Rank D]: Such missions are a little more uncommon, but pose a slightly higher risk than the E-Ranked. They can also include treasure hunts, but are more difficult than others, as they posses the possibility of facing off against everything from cannibals, monsters, and giant beasts. These can also include defeating a pirate with a bounty of less than ß100,000 beli or defeating a Marine with the rank up to that of Commodore. In addition, these missions can also consist of destroying a Marine vessel or attacking and raiding a small town. These towns tend to have little Marine presence, so are unguarded and primarily home to civilians. Please note, that bounty payouts may be higher depending on how many civilians are killed or injured.
◊ [Rank C]: These missions tend to be more serious and offer a greater confrontation level with eneies. They can include raiding a large town, though these tend to be more heavily populate, they also tend to have a more active Marine presence or base in the nearby area to offer resistance to any would-be attackers. Like the smaller towns, a bounty can go up based on the amount of collateral damage and loss of human life. These missions may also include, but are not limited to, defeating a pirate with a bounty of under ß250,000 beli or defeating a Marine with the rank of Rear Admiral. In addition, they can include destroying a Marine warship.
◊ [Rank B]: Some of the most difficult missions tend to fall into this class and pose a serious risk to undertake. A few of these crimes include destroying multiple Marine warships (three or more), defeating a Marine with the Rank of Vice Admiral, or defeating a pirate with a bounty of more than ß250,000 beli. These missions can also include attacking or infiltrating a Marine base, and breaking in or out prison, particularly the feared Impel Down. In addition, they may also consist of kidnapping a member of royalty or a lower noble.
◊ [Rank A]: These are the rarest and most dangerous of missions available, carrying an extreme amount of risk and chance of running into a powerful enemy. Some of these crimes include attempting to insight criminal acts or rebellion against the Marines and World Government, burning a World Governement flag as a declaration of war, and attacking a government facility (such as Enes Lobby, Marineford, ect.). Other crimes that fall into this category are harming or kidnapping a member of the Celestial Dragons, which is also severe enough that an admiral is to be called in such an event. Defeating a Shichibukai also falls into this ranks, since it is known to create instability in the balance the World Government attempts to maintain.
⤷ ::NON-MISSION THREADS::
These threads are not official missions, but that occur In-Character and contain something that is noteworthy of a bounty. Similarly, they will be reviewed and graded, though please ensure that an actual crime was committed, whether it's some confrontation with the Marines, defeating another pirate captain, or attacking a town, ect. Staff reserve to right to judge if a non-mission thread is deserving of a bounty increase, or not.
