Not even his subjects; citizens of the Alabasta Kingdom may address him as King, or your Majesty, but King Cornelius Zane Bishop, or your Majesty Cornelius Zane Bishop. To his ears, Cornelius' full name has such a beautiful, and regal sound to it that it should be a crime to call him by anything other than his full name. Perhaps in the future it will be. Truth be told many citizens have various unflattering nicknames for the cold, and apathetic king. BIRTHDATE: NOVEMBER 25TH AGE: They say fate often blesses those who do not deserve it, and Cornelius would have to be a prime example of this. While pushing into his later years at the age of THIRTY-ONE, the King still has the fine features, and youthful appearance of someone in their early to mid twenties. GENDER: Holding the title of King, previously that of Prince we can only assume that Cornelius is quite possibly MALE. Despite faint feminine features, and a visage softer than most other men, we can only hope his parents were right as claiming Cornelius as their son, and the former prince. Though if you wish to be certain, you could always ask his personal aids, or his harem. RACE: HUMAN. Cornelius is human, very human in the worse possible way. What this means is the fact that they're a prideful, stubborn race who are too confident in the belief that they are the superior race in this world. Though contrary to this fact, the King of Alabasta claims to be a Tenryūbito otherwise known as a Celestial Dragons, or World Nobles. While the young king may boast to have the blood of the Tenryūbito running through his veins, how true this claim is remains unknown. SEXUALITY: There is only one answer to this, and that is, that he is quite HETEROSEXUAL. He has no plans, or desire to share his kingdom with another man... There can only be one true King. MARITAL STATUS: Like any member of royalty, or of noble blood, Cornelius has his own personal harem of women to serve to his every desire. Eventually it is his duty to either choose one of these women to become his Queen, or quite possibly pick a princess from another kingdom. ALIGNMENT: CHAOTIC NEUTRALPOSITION: Cornelius does not hold a conventional position such as an Admiral, or Captain of the Marines, but still holds something that carries the same weight as either position if not more. Certainly one would see the position of KING OF THE ALABASATA KINGDOM far more praiseworthy than the later mentioned titles. CREW OR ORGANIZATION: N/A APPEARANCE INFORMATION FACE CLAIM: NOBLESSE, Frankenstein HAIR: Upon his head sits a crown of golden curls of hair that cascade downwards to the center of his back. Usually these golden locks lay unstyled, simply swooping down his back while tendrils of hair on either side of his head may spill forwards over his shoulders, and down his chest. While gold is the primary color often associated with Cornelius' hair color it is not the true hue of his luscious locks. From the top of his head down to the middle of each strand; his hair is a bright blonde color almost a dirty shade of white. Yet this changes from the center of each strand to its end as it changes to a dark color which almost resembles an orangish hue. EYES: Sparkling pleasantly on a face locked in either a look of total apathy, or mild disgust are two of the most stunning blue gemstones ever seen. If what they say is true, and the eyes are the windows to the soul then lingering behind a mask of cruelty and arrogance is spirit composed of nothing but passion. Cornelius' eyes blaze with such a brilliant passion despite his mood, that they could be described as two azure suns. HEIGHT: 6'2. WEIGHT: 184lbs. BODY BUILD: Perhaps one of the advantages of having your childhood ripped from you in preparation of becoming the future king is the condition your body comes out in. A king must be able to meet all challenges that their people bring to them be them mental, or physical, Cornelius at first glance has no problem with either. The King is at taller than average height than normal humans though he is still dwarfed by other races such as fishmen, and giants to name a few. He has a long slender body with fair amount of muscle though he is by no means a walking hulk of muscle. ATTIRE: Despite his position of King of Alabasta Kingdom, Cornelius is not a flamboyant man dressing in lavish, brightly colored robes studded with exquisite diamond, or rubies. He dresses in what could be considered casual, or business casual; he prefers soft colored, and thin dress shirts, followed by loose dress slacks. Basically Cornelius is a fan of loose, and light clothing that wont strangle, nor sweat his body to death in the harsh winds, and high heat of the desert. From time to time he may wear a light jacket though not always, and usually its nothing to heavy, or thick, rather not liking the sensation of being bound. OTHERS: N/a PERSONALITY INFORMATION LIKES: ■ HIGH QUALITY FOODS AND DRINKS ■ INSECTS ■ STRUCTURE ■ SWEETS ■ CONFRONTATION DISLIKES: ■ COLD ■ SALTY. SOUR THINGS ■ LAZINESS ■ MARINES ■ PIRATES SKILLS: ■ PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY, possibly from a life time of studying, and tutoring, Cornelius has a vast memory being able to memorize faces, names, even random details about a person easily. ■ PAIN TOLERANCE, perhaps a trait picked up on from his father, but Cornelius seems to have a high tolerance for pain. Of course this doesn't mean he can't feel pain, or nothing hurts him. PERSONALITY: Cornelius Zane Bishop is nothing more than a product of near perfect conditioning as if he had been born in another life to a different set of parents then he may have turned out differently. Being humorously known as Old King Cole though the reason for this is quite far from Cornelius being a merry old soul, but rather being quite cold. Detached is a good word to describe this man, as he is always robotic in terms of his emotions keeping them buried within, and hidden under the surface. Though try as he might, Cornelius cannot contain his emotions all of the time. One method to break through his cold exterior is to threaten to take, or reign over what he believes is rightfully his, like his kingdom for example. Those who in his mind would be the first to attempt to take his kingdom are none other than the feuding pirates, and marines. While some may see the Officers of the Marines as the good guys, and the Pirate Crews as the evil-doers, Cornelius sees both parties as nothing more than scum. Though he does consider the Marines more useful than Pirates. In Cornelius' mind the Marines are nothing more than the dogs of shepherds; tamed beasts whose sole duty it is to protect the mindless flock whom otherwise might waltz right into the jaws of the wolf. Pirates on the other hand are those very wolves who'd savagely rain down upon his kingdom slaughtering his flock, and devouring anything in their path. If he could, Cornelius would wipe both pirates, and marines off the face of the planet. Arrogant. Possibly not the best trait to have when you're the leader of a kingdom; serving as both ruler, and at times executioner. It is quiet easily to say that the man known as Cornelius Bishop, or better known as King Cornelius Zane Bishop is the epitome of arrogance. Perhaps calling the man close-minded would be a better description, or even a mix of the two might be a good description of dear Cornelius. The case being that the man believes himself to be at the top of the food chain not only in his own kingdom but the whole world given that he is the law. Or at least the law in the Alabasta Kingdom. Obviously when you're up at the tip-top of things then all others are pretty much trash in your eyes, and this is very much so true with Cornelius. Though this idea of other people being not much more than trash is a learned. Cornelius is, or at least was made to believe as he grew up that the blood of the World Nobles flow through his veins; the very people whom founded the World Government. Yet, unlike others who have said blood coursing through their bodies, Cornelius is not repulsed by touching commoners, or breathing the same air as them. Rather he feels that they should feel blessed to bask in his presence, to be given the chance to breath the same air as he. Yes, arrogant, and vanity thy name is Cornelius Zane Bishop. After all what would be a better treat then be allowed to share the same breath of air than one born into the family who brought structure to this chaotic world? Straight forward to the point of being pushy, Cornelius is not the type of man who fancies lying, or any form of deception even if his profession calls for him to be a so called master of deception from time, to time. Or be diplomatic as the royals, and nobles call it. He will openly speak his mind, and declare his opinions, if not out right trying to force them on others. Sadly, Cornelius is the sort of man whom always believes that he is right, and that his opinion is the one that should be shared by the masses. Needless to say that he does not handle criticism, and a difference of opinion too well... Being that he is the law this means that his word is final, and that there is no "if"s, "and"s. or "butt"s about it. Hell, you may even call the man stubborn in the sense that he seldom changes his mind, or even relents to the possibility of changing it. Though despite all his flaws, Cornelius does have some good points such as being one of them being that he is one of the most passionate men alive whenever he isn't being a cold, close-minded tyrant. Be it a person, an idea, or a goal, Cornelius will put his entire being into it, and not let it go until whatever it is, is finished. Secondly, Cornelius has a curiously as vast as the sea itself. Even if his own opinion seldom changes, he still is a curious individual with a great thirst for knowledge of the world. Though his curiosity may mostly stem from the question of why doesn't other people share his own beliefs, what makes their own so much better than his own? COMBAT INFORMATION SPECIALTY: Honestly Cornelius would preferably specialize in calling in his guards to do the fighting for him instead of fighting himself, as that's why royalty has guards. Though if pushed comes to shove, and the King has to fight himself, Cornelius seems to have specialized, or prefers long distance fighting. Simply keeping the enemy at a distance as to reduce injury to himself. FIGHTING STYLE: Cornelius has no true fighting style to speak of, though he has been trained to various weapons from daggers, to swords, and bows, and even whips. Quite honestly though he has no skill at all with bladed weapons as it is easy to knock the blade out of his hands, or block, or even dodge an exaggerated slash. Despite this, Cornelius seems to have naturally taken to using flexible weapons such as a whip to the point where it can be used as a third limb, or extension of his arm. If forced into a fight, Cornelius does not follow any set style other than using his whip to keep enemies at a distance. WEAPONS: FANG OF THE SERPENT A bit of an oddity, but nonetheless something that Cornelius is rather proud to call his own. Fang of the Serpent is at first glance nothing more than a fancy name for a truly bizarre crown crafted out of silver into the shape of a snake coiled around its own tail. Presented at his coronation, the Fang of the Serpent is meant to be a unique crown for the King of Alabasta even if it is a tad on the morbid side. Though this crown has a deadly secret literally deep inside it, as the head can be pulled off of the body to reveal a thin, and flexible three foot long blade. The blade of this odd little crown is thin, and vastly flexible; being no thicker than a ribbon though having a weighted tip on the blade allowing it so that the user can change the direction of the attack by just twisting, and flicking his wrist. This crown was specifically made for Cornelius to improve abilities with a whip, and make up for his lack of skill with a sword by combining the two weapons together. While the crown is usually only worn during ceremonies, or special events, Cornelius usually does have it on his person by having it clasped to his side. After all why should a king be without his crown? WEAPONS ABILITIES: N/a BACKGROUND INFORMATION HISTORY: History is an odd thing for Cornelius as the cold king for the life of him cannot remember such a thing that most would define as childhood, or happy memories. From the very moment he could walk, Cornelius was surrounded by tutors, and teachers of every type, and subject molding him to be the perfect king as were the wishes of his mother, and father. From sun up to sun down, Cornelius would have his nose buried deep with in a book while a hash professor would burn the history, and laws into the young bubbling mind of the prince. Every waking moment of his young life was spend exercising, and expanding both mind, and body so that when he would come of age he'd be the perfect subject to be king. Of course knowledge, and physical skill were not the only thing being feed to the growing boy, but a rather harsh view point of the world around him.By far the harshest teacher the young Cornelius had was none other than his own father; King Gideon Zachary Bishop. What his father taught him wasn't mathematics, or proper etiquette when at a fancy ball, but the truth of the world. It'd be through his father's teachings that Cornelius would gain his arrogant, dominating personality, Through the previous king, the story of the Celestial Dragons was bore down on to his little mind; how the Celestial Dragons founded the World Government, and brought order to chaos. Not only this, but how the World Nobles' blood ran through their veins making them special, and put them far above normal people. Whenever the young boy asked why that was, King Gideon would say that it simply was the natural order of this world. Some people were made to be on the top of this world, while others were meant to be on the bottom. From his young days to his teenage years, life was very boring, and tedious with only his daily tutors his only companions. Yet outside of Cornelius' secured little world things were getting quite dicey in the Kingdom of Alabasta; rebellion had sparked. Due to his way of thinking, King Gideon usually put himself before his subjects; often likening them to a flock of sheep, or some sort of herding animal that needed to be dominated for their own safety. In the beginning this rebellion was nothing more than a few disgruntled civilians whom screamed their displeasure at the palace, and demanded for the king to be dethroned. As the years passed these rebels grew in members; going from a small mob to a league of angry subjects, and that's when the attacks on King Gideon life began. Cornelius will never forget the death of his father; it had be around midnight when his father's personal guard, and the prince's main tutor; Balthazar Lucius Mordred woke the prince looking ghastly pale and covered in sweat almost unable to speak. The assassin had struck while his father rest amongst his harem, and attacked savagely by cutting out the man's heart. Strangely prior to this night, his father seemed to be such an untouchable man being quite skilled with both blade, and having served in the previous King's royal guard. Not only this but his father seemed to have an unnatural tolerance for pain, and supernatural stamina. Cornelius swears he saw his father skewered by swords one night, and then look perfectly happy the next, but this night was different, so very, very different. Only twenty-five at the time, the royal advisers did not believe the prince was not yet ready to become king that he required additional teaching before becoming king. Cornelius was simply named a "Pseudo-King" what this meant was that he acquired his father's possessions such as his riches, his guards, and army, even his harem yet had no royal power just yet. In reality this was a lie with a secret plot going on by the advisers though they earnestly had the prince's best interest in mind. The truth behind King Gideon strange was that he was what many called a Devil Fruit user; a cursed being whom had gained supernatural powers by devouring a certain fruit and sacrificing their ability to swim or survive in water. In the beginning they simply stalled for time to see if their King would magically return from the dead, but when that did not happen they waited for the next best thing. At the age of twenty-nine, Cornelius was finally decreed ready to become king, A lavish party was thrown to celebrate with carefully chosen citizens even allowed to attend to help show that Cornelius would be a better king than his father. Sadly the teachings that Gideon had crammed down his son's throat for all those years were firmly rooted in his soul ensuring that Cornelius would become a near carbon copy of his father. Two things happened at his coronation party; one that Cornelius was aware, and one that the young king wasn't so aware of. The first of which was his advisers presenting him with his own addition to the harem; a woman who'd be completely Cornelius', and now one passed down from his father's death. While to the advisers they were simply giving the new king a new whore to add to the harem, there was just something about the woman that mystified Cornelius. Through the years he has made this woman his personal aide; always at his side acting as both arm-candy, and as a second opinion, Though her opinion was not always listened to as she was still nothing more than his servant... even a special servant at that. Things throughout the Alabasta Kingdom are slowly returning to the awful ways they were when Gideon was king. Alabasta had settled into a temporary relaxed, peaceful state since the rebellions caused by the late king's rule. Some of the citizens are seeing the new king taking the same actions as Gideon thus earning the same enemies. Even now there are small mobs that are displeased, and wish to see Cornelius dethroned, but these groups are currently small, and unheard. Though things could change...
